Day 1: 🐧 Campaign Update — The Penguin Party

We’re sitting at 6.16K votes delegated to my personal address!

I’ve given some thought to a name for our platform, and decided we’ll call ourselves the Penguin Party!

I’ve given some thought to some main conventions we stand for in governance, three pillars on which we, as holders and investors of Uniswap, stand for:

• Returning value to shareholders.
• Incentivizing decentralization of the protocol.
• Funding further development.

Currently, my platform for proposals is as follows:

• Adoption of ETH/UNI in to liquidity mining program.
• Renewal for another month of liquidity mining programs. (The current liquidity mining incentives for protocol growth expire in forty days, on November 16th, 2020)
• Against the Dharma airdrop proposal because I see their proxy contracts/wallet and monetization scheme as a potential danger to the sovereignty of Uniswap governance. [Open to discussing this with community though!]

I openly invite anyone with interest to come join us in the official Uniswap discord, under the channel #🐧uni-universe to discuss ways to develop the protocol and fix some of the problems identified by the community,
Chiefly, that the price has faced a major decline due to large selling pressures on Uni created by farmers participating in the liquidity mining programs.

I strongly believe that simply implementing ETH/UNI as a liquidity mining pool (without increasing emission amount), will reduce the selling pressure and add liquidity to the UNI token on uniswap, reducing slippage and increasing price stability.

I invite other delegates to join me in using our voting power as a block by forming a Penguin Party multi-signature wallet. If any other delegatee with a minimum of 1,000 votes is interested in delegating to/joining the Penguin Party multisig, please find and contact me through the discord.

As well, if you’re a first time reader, give some thought to delegating your votes with us to help push the protocol and Defi *to the moon*.
